# Peg Stability Module (PSM)

<figure><img src="/files/xjRc9lTWhy8frCEiQcFk" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Peg Stability Module (PSM) is a fee mechanism that strengthens $FANG's peg to $ETH by creating a direct link between $gFANG rewards and stable asset backing.

Example:

* User wants to claim 1 $gFANG (worth 1000 $USDC)
* PSM requires a fee payment of 350 USDC ( 35% of it's worth in $ETH ).&#x20;

Why it Matters: \
• Creates real backing for $FANG using $ETH\
• Builds treasury reserves organically \
• Strengthens the peg through actual asset backing \
• Reduces reliance on emissions alone&#x20;

This allows capital flow into the Fang treasury, which in turn enables us to support $FANG peg on a much more stable level, backed by $ETH funneled into the protocol

{% hint style="info" %}
The PSM fees are **35% paid in $ETH** in the Farms. This may be changed in the future.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.fang.finance/unique-features/peg-stability-module-psm.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
